Union Budget Meets

 

HLCAA since its inception is organizing an educational programme on Union Budget almost every year. The Finance Bill and its new provisions, its implications on business, industry and household activities are also discussed. People in large number attend this Union Budget Meet as the eminent experts on the subject come to the Association and share their views. The brief update of The Union Budget Meets happened so far.

  • Union Budget Discussion, 2007

In this year, on 3rd March,  2007 : Shri Bakul Dholakia, Director, Indian Institute of Management and Shri V.K.Sharma, Anagram Stock Broking Ltd. were the experts to discuss this Bill. The Budget meet was jointly organized by H.L.College Alumni Association and Gujarat Investors and Shareholder’s Association which was held at the premises of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

  • In the year 2004, the public lecture on Union Budget was organized at Bhaikaka Bhavan and HLCAA was fortunate enough to get Dr. Bakul Dholakia, Director, IIM (A) and Shri V.K.Sharma, Anagram Securities Ltd.
  • Workshop On Finance Bill,1999
    • Dr. Bakul Dholakia spoke on “The Finance Bill and the effects on Economy”
    • Mr. Saurabh Soparkar spoke on “The Finance Bill and the effects on Direct Taxes”
    • Mr. V.K.Sharma spoke on “The Finance Bill and the effects on Capital Market”
  • Workshop on Finance Bill, 1998

Shri K.T.Thakor, the then Retired Member of Income Tax Appellate Tribunal along with Dr. Bakul Dholakia was the speakers who threw light on the finance bill and related matters.

  • In the year 1997, HLCAA was fortunate enough to have Mr. Soli Dastur (the then Advocate, Hon’ble Supreme Court) from Mumbai to discuss the union budget of 1997.

  • Analysis on Union Budget by Shri T.N.Pandey the then Retired Chairman of C.B.D.T, Shri Ulhas Paymaster and Dr. Bakul Dholakia

  • A talk on Union Budget was organised jointly with Vidya Vikas Trust at one year. Shri Dinesh Vyas was invited as speaker for discussing Union Budget.

  • Shri J.P.Shah, Dr. Bakul Dholakia and Shri Ajit Sanghvi to discuss the budget speech and new in dustrial policy was also discussed.
