I am thankful to members of Governing council of H.L. College Alumni Association which unanimously elected me as the president of our association for the period 2005 to 2007. I accept this position with great sense of responsibility and faith in our institution and its members in my efforts to take our Association to new heights; I will need your benevolent guidance and active help. I am sure that your dedication, commitment and experience will help me in discharging the duties assigned to me with diligence. I would like to promote the sense of belonging and ownership amongst the members. You will be the Brand Ambassador of our great institution. Needless to say that the sense of belonging will be manifested in your participation at the program as well as your contribution to the activities of the association. I wish to sensitize you, to make you feel that the H.L. College Alumni association is your own and you are a part of the large extended family.
I would like to share with you some of my thoughts for giving new vision and direction to our great association for whom we have highest love and affection. The basic objective of our association is to provide platform for increasing the feeling of fraternity and brotherhood. We should b able to protect and promote the interest of members. What are the current issues facing the members in particular and society in general? Should we look towards the interest of the members or society should also be our target beneficiaries? We aim at empowering our members with knowledge data sharing and service centre can create a powerful wing, which can be appreciated and acknowledged by the society. We should also try and create social awareness and promote core values amongst our members. I believe that it is possible to establish networking with the corporate sector whereby we are able to establish a rapport between our members and the corporate sector by which we can play proactive role in empowering our members for prompting the business and employment. The Indian economy is surging ahead in this global business environment; we are contemplating the possibility of organizing trade fair and exhibition under the banner of our association. This is just a thought, which I have shared with you and I request you to dwell over and share your thoughts also with me so that with efforts of all of us together we can give to our association a new direction and vision. I am sure nobody wants our association to loose relevance and significance in the eye of society. |
