- Seminar on “Taxation” by Shri Sanjay Mehta, Shri Lalit Dangi and Shri Mukesh Shah.
- Seminar on “Present Economic Crisis” . the Late Dr. T.D.Lakdawala, Ex – chairman Planning Commission was invited to deliver the lecture.
- Seminar on “Disclosure Scheme” – There was much confusion at that time about this scheme in public and to make people aware about this scheme, HLCAA organised a seminar and eminent speakers like Shri Kishore Karia and Shri Saurabh Soparkar were invited.
- Lecture of Shri Atul Shah ( Muni Shree Hitruchi Vijayji Maharaj) – Multimillionare Shri Atul Shah and ex.Hlite who gave away all the luxuries and became a jain sadhu. A learned speaker in himself, gave a speech on the subject “Conflict of East and West”
- Lecture by Shri Chandrashekher Vijayji Maharaj on “Modern Education and Social Systems” was organised.
- Study Circle on “Prospectus Analysis and Investment in Primary Market” by Mr. J.R.Varma of IIM, Shri Gaurang Dalal and Shri Kirit Raval
- Aptitude Test was organised in association with Vocational Guidance Bureau, Government of Gujarat.
- Lecture Meeting on “Dunkel Draft”. Shri Pranab Mukherjee the then Chairman of Planning Commission and very noteworthy personality in Indian Economy and Politics was invited to deliver lecture on the Draft.
- Seminar on “Recent Development in Indian Economy and Capital Markets” was organized. Shri Dilip Parikh, the then Hon. Minister of Industries (Gujarat State) was the chief guest and Dr. Bakul Dholakia, IIM and Shri Satish Nadkar, Anagram Finance Ltd. were the distinguished speakers

- Public Lecture on “Investor Protection” was organized in 1997 and Ms. Sucheta Dalal, the then well-known columnist and financial editor Times of India, Mumbai and Mr. Debashish Basu, Investment Consultant and a well known columnist of Economic Times were invited. The seminar was under the chairmanship by Prof. Manubhai Shah, the then Managing Director of the Consumer Education and Research Centre, Ahmedabad. The lecture was organized in Thakorebhai Desai Hall.
- Public Lecture on “Present Economic Crisis Global vis.a.vis Indian” was orgnised to analyse the implication of the South East Asian turmoil on the world economy vis.a.vis Indian economy. Dr. Bakul Dholakia, IIM, Ahmedabad was invited to deliver the lecture.
- Workshop on “Leadership Qualities” – Mr. Shyamal Dutta Gupta, the then President of All India Management Consultants Association, Mumbai was invited to deliver the lecture.
- A public lecture on “Information Technology Trends in 21st Century” was organized. Prof. Raghu of IIM was invited to deliver the lecture.
- Seminar on “Stock Market”. Eminent personalities like Shri Ulhas Paymaster, Shri Bhagirath Merchant, Shri Ajit Sanghvi and Shri Subhash Dalal were invited to deliver the lecture
- Seminar on “Capital Market” – The speakers were Mr. Jaydeep Shirali, OTC Exchange, Mr. Himal Parikh and Prof. D.D.Trivedi. The speakers spoke on various aspects like SEBI, OTC and Present Trend in Capital Market
- Seminar on “Consumer Protection” by Shri S.A.Shah, Shri Mohit Shah, Shri Saurabh Soparkar, Shri Prashantbhai Desai and Shri K.H.Baxi
- Seminar on “Latest Immigration Laws” was organised by leading attorney – Smt Smita Gandhi, By Chetan Tanna
- Public Lecture on “Kidney Failure” by Dr.Shailesh Shah and Dr. Pankaj Shah was organized.
- Workshop on “Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation for common man” was addressed by Dr. Tushar Shah, Dr. Himanshu Mehta and Dr. Rajan Dalal. They showed the emergency steps to be taken by a common man to save a person developing heart attack.
- Lecture on “Stress Management” was delivered by Shri D.M.Pestonjee
- Seminar on “Heart and Modern Science” by leading Heart Specialists Dr. Sharad Dave , Dr. Tushar Shah, Dr. Keyur Parikh and Dr. Anil Parikh
- A programme “Meet your Surgeon” was organized to create medical awareness,

- Seminar on “Consumer Protection Act” was organized again under the chairmanship of Shri R.C.Mankad, the then Hon. Justice of Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission (Gujarat State). The programme was co-ordinated by Shri Manubhai Shah (CERC) and distinguished faculty Shri Rajnikant Mehta and Shri K.H.Baxi were also invited.
- Aptitude Test for students was organized. Ms. Nayna Shah, Ms. Namrata Singh and the team of MANTHAN organized the Test.

Lecture on “Right to Information in present context“ was organised. Shri Rahul Mangaonkar , a RTI Resource Person talked about the strength of the legislation “Right to Information Act” which came into force in 2005. The provisions of this legislation was discussed at length. He shared his wonderful experiences as to how the common people of the country can bring revolution by simple RTI application which ultimately leads to the transparency in the administration system of the country. The lecture witnessed students, members of the Association and faculty members of different colleges too. |

Justice B.C.Patel, (Retd. Chief Justice of Delhi High Court) addressed the gathering on interesting topic of “Judicial Activism“. He shared his views on how judiciary can make changes in society by its vital weapon “suo mottu”. He discussed various case laws and the positive implications of such judicial pronouncements in the society. The students of various law colleges were invited to attend this lecture. |
