HL Campus is always been a land mark of the historical city of Ahmedabad. The famous test match of cricket was played on the HL campus in _____ year.
The campus has one of the finest cricket grounds in the city. The Campus houses one of the most magnifying colleges building in the town.
The road adjacent to the college is named after the legendary Principal of the College Shri S.V. Desai
In the year ____ the Alumni Association felt that the campus although beautiful, needed a face lift to keep with the current needs of educational institutes and the Association had undertook a major project of the campus upliftment and has changed the entire look of the college campus by adding gardens, fountain, plaza, stage for performance and clean and neat toilets and water rooms.
For students graduated before 1992 would remember that there were 2 unmaintained gardens adjacent to the main building of the college divided by a muddy road. Two wheelers of the students and faculty members were parked on left hand side of the gate. The toilets were stinky, the drinking water facility was hardly useable and there was no stone clading in the campus. Floors were hardly seen on the campus. After the campus development project, we have transformed the campus and today in stead of the 2 under-developed gardens we have a large stone clad plaza which can accommodate around 2000 people on the permanent stage to host the events of the college. Beyond the stage we have a small lawn to have small programmes of the colleges. The gate has been shifted towards the cross roads and a beautiful road has been made leading to the college building with well developed gardens around it. The old road and gate is now converted into a very good seating place for students with water falls.
The backyard of the college which was hardly accessible is now made into a small plaza and a small stage for practice cession of various cultural activities of the college. The backyard also houses newly made canteen, an excellent toilet facilities and water room. The entire area is spread and maintained neat and clean. The toilets in the ladies room have also been renovated by the Alumni Association. The entire project has costed around Rs.5 million and this has been done with generous donations from noble donors like:
